We are profoundly saddened by the loss of Chrispin Muchindu, a friend and colleague who, for the past eight years, was an intricate part of the Peace Parks team. Chrispin passed away on Sunday afternoon, after a short battle against pneumonia.
Chrispin worked in Zambia’s Simalaha Community Conservancy as a Field Coordinator where he spearheaded the Conservation Agriculture programme. He personally trained over 1 750 farmers in conservation-friendly farming techniques and was the heart and soul of the programme. Over the years, Chrispin ensured food security for thousands of families.
“We will most fondly remember Chrispin for his jovial attitude, his wonderful sense of humour, infectious smile and his incredible commitment to improving the lives of everyone he came in contact with,” says Peace Parks CEO Werner Myburgh.
Our deepest condolences go to Chrispin’s wife Amina, their nine children, his friends and colleagues.
May you rest in peace, Chrispin. You will be sorely missed.
